Here are some of our recent projects.
Flat Bush School Road, Flat Bush
In Mid 2021, SFH Consultants obtained a land use and subdivision consent for a multi-unit residential development (around 50 units) at Flat Bush School Road in Flat Bush.
Kaipara Coast Guard
SFH Consultants assisted Coastguard Kaipara Incorporated, to obtain the necessary resource consents to establish a new operations building which will primarily cater for the storage of the rescue boats and other equipment. The new building and location will enable Coastguard to more efficiently and effectively respond to emergency situations on the Kaipara Harbour.
Ti Tree Lane, Stanmore Bay
SFH Consultants obtained the necessary resource consents to construct a single detached dwelling on a site zoned as Residential - Large Lot zone. The dwelling provides for 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a semi-basement, double garage. Resource consent was granted within a month of lodgement.
Tauriko, Tauranga
Earlier in 2021, SFH Consultants assisted in obtaining resource consent for a multi-unit commercial development in the industrial area of Tauriko. The proposal included three trade supplier units and a 24/7 Gym.
Rockpool Road, Orewa.
The applicant had purchased the property with the intention of implementing the precinct intent and developing the site with 8 terraced houses to provide for additional housing in the area to accommodate people and address the demand within a ‘Build to Rent’ environment. SFH Consultants was able to obtain the necessary consents to realise the applicants development intentions.
Further to this, SFH Consultants worked with the solicitor to remove/modify a historic consent notice which proved to be unworkable.
Pinehill Central - Greville Road
SFH Consultants worked alongside a number of consultants in preparing and obtaining the necessary resource consents for the comprehensive development of the site at 65 Greville Road which comprises the Pinehill Local Centre and is to be branded as Pinehill Central.
Pinehill Central will provide for a large Countdown Supermarket and E-Store, a range of retail and food and beverage tenancies, large common parking area. The recently consented development interfaces with the existing Palmers Garden Centre already established onsite. The construction activities are well under way for this development with completion estimated in mid-2022.
The Victor - Browns Bay
SFH Consultants worked alongside a number of consultants in preparing and obtaining the necessary resource consents for a multi-level, multi-unit, mixed-use development on Bute Road in Browns Bay. The Victor was originally progressed as a development under the Housing Accords and Special Housing Areas Act, but has since been varied and expanded under the usual Resource Management Act processes.
The development provides for eight ground floor level retail/hospitality tenancies and a total of 64 apartments, supported by two levels of basement car parking and servicing. The Victor is configured as two separate buildings connected by an internal enclosed atrium which will also provide communal space and pedestrian access to apartments.

Munroe Lane - Albany
SFH Consultants worked alongside a number of consultants in preparing and obtaining the necessary resource consents for a multi-level, multi-unit, mixed-use development on Munroe Lane in Albany. The proposal included several buildings of various heights (up to 11 storeys), which are tied together by a common basement parking structure. Activities include office, live/work and residential units. The main issues for this development was the whether the range of activities and the visual appearance and building quality achieved the identified character sought in the Metropolitan Centre of Albany.
A high-quality and unique tower block is proposed in the south of the site, which extends to 41m in height, and 13 storeys. This will create a landmark feature which is highly identifiable. The live/work units ensure the proposal provides adaptive spaces which are suitable for a range of uses over time.
Sunny Heights Road - Orewa
SFH Consultants worked with a range of consultants to prepare and obtain the necessary resource consents for a new childcare centre on Sunny Heights Road in Orewa. The proposed centre will cater for a maximum of 100 children and about 17 staff in an area of significant residential growth. The main issues related to maintaining residential character and amenity for adjacent residents while also ensuring the childcare provided for the functional and operational requires to enable a feasible development that works.
The sloping topography enabled a semi-basement car parking area, with the office and teaching spaces on the upper level opening out to the higher, eastern area of the site.
Brick Street - Henderson
SFH Consultants worked with the architects and civil engineers to prepare and obtain the necessary resource consents for a new industrial warehouse and ancillary office within the light industrial zone in Brick Street, Henderson.
Albany Highway - Greenhithe
SFH Consultants worked with a range of consultants to prepare and obtain the necessary resource consents for a multi-unit residential development of a site in Albany Highway, Greenhithe.
The proposal provided for 8 two-storey residential units, with a centralised car parking area and fee simple subdivision around the consented development.
Northside Drive - Westgate
SFH Consultants prepared and obtained the necessary resource consentsfor a multi-unit industrial warehouse and ancillary office development in Northside Drive at Westgate.
Subsequently, we also applied for and obtained a unit title subdivision around the consented development.
Ahi Kaa Lane - Snells Beach
SFH Consultants prepared and obtained resource consent for a single-level, residential dwelling within a new subdivision area in the northern area of Snells Beach.
Coatesville-Riverhead Highway - Riverhead
SFH Consultants prepared and obtained the necessary resource consents for a revised Korean Buddhist Temple and associated structures for a charitable trust. This application built upon a previously granted resource consent that was not implemented and had expired.
Kiwi Road - Point Chevalier
SFH Consultants worked with a range of consultants to prepare and obtain the necessary resource consents for a three-unit residential development of a mixed housing suburban zoned property in Kiwi Road, Point Chevalier.
The proposal increased the density of the site, and provided for a fee simple subdivision around the consented development.
Subsequently, the applicant had SFH Consultants complete a variation to tidy up changes which occurred throughout the construction phase of development.
Taha Puke Road - Redvale (Weiti Bay)
SFH Consultants prepared and obtained the necessary resource consents for a substantial residential development within the Weiti Bay residential development at Redvale.
This included a substantial volume of earthworks, depth of cut, to respond to the sloping topography and the desire to provide a basement car garage and expansive indoor and outdoor living areas with coastal views.
Waikaukau Road - Glendene
SFH Consultants worked with a range of consultants to prepare and obtain the necessary resource consents for a significant re-development of an existing film studio to enable them to respond to increasing demand from international and domestic film and tv industry.
